Types of Warts: Information on flat warts, causes of warts, common warts and seed warts!
There are many different types of warts; flat warts, common warts, plantar warts and seed warts. Although these types of warts may sound similar, they each have their own special characteristics. We will cover each one shortly.
Causes of Warts
There a few different causes of warts. Some of the major causes of warts include: having a weak immune system or being constantly exposed to someone with the virus. I aquired the wart virus by working too much with soil, so go figure!
No matter what causes your warts, you will definitely experience the same symptoms I did. These can include inflammation, pain, redness and protruding skin.
Flat Warts
Flat warts tend to usually be smaller and smoother than other warts. They also grow in larger numbers of 20 to 100 at one time.
Flat warts are often found in the beard area in men and on the legs in women. They occur due to the irritation from shaving.
Common Warts (Seed Warts)
Common warts, also called seed warts, usually grow on the fingers, around the nails and on the backs of the hands. Common warts usually appear where skin has been broken.
A good example of common or seed warts is where fingernails are bitten. The blood vessels to the wart grow and produce black dots.
Common warts and plantar warts were the types of warts I had to deal with. My skin would get broken while working in my yard and then I would get them.
